French Cooking and Watercolor painting weekend for a small group of adults.

PLEASE JOIN US to celebrate the arrival of Fall with an art and cooking workshop, from Friday night to Sunday evening! On Saturday we will make ratatouille, Valérie’s famous salad and dressing, and flourless chocolate cake, and on Sunday, savory and sweet crepes. We are cooking in the morning, enjoying our own cuisine for lunch, then painting watercolors till evening, with a short teatime break for “goûter”. The weekend starts on Friday night with cocktails and amuse-bouches, so we can meet and discuss the weekend’s activities, set up our supplies for the next two days, and celebrate La Petite Provence Austin’s first workshop since the Spring of 2020. SCHEDULE: Friday 6-8:30PM: cocktails, small bites, meet and greet. Saturday 10AM-6:30PM: tea/coffee, cooking, lunch, watercolor, teatime, watercolor. Sunday 10AM-6:00PM: tea/coffee, cooking, lunch, watercolor, teatime, watercolor. COST: $550. Includes: All the food, tea and coffee, French wine and cider with the meals, and one sheet of 22x30 300lb Fabriano Artistico watercolor paper per person. BRING: Please bring your brushes, favorite watercolor pads and paper for lots of experimentations and oeuvres, and watercolor paints and palette. If you don’t have these, I will have some basic paint and brushes to get you started, but please call me for a list for your starter set. The most important supply for a successful, satisfying experience with watercolor is excellent paper. Arches or Fabriano are recommended. Unless you are an experienced watercolorist, please call before buying watercolor supplies, it could save you money and, especially, aggravation. It will guarantee your spot in the class (spots are limited, the groups are very small). I accept checks, cash, or payments through Paypal @valeriechaussonnet or Venmo @Valerie-Chaussonnet. I can swipe a credit card with Square as well. If you book for multiple participants, the price may not be reflected correctly on the website. Please calculate the correct amount by yourself.
