La Petite Provence Austin was created in 1999 when Valérie started a French summer camp for a few toddlers her son’s age. It evolved into a small French day-care, forming toddlers into spectacular singers (French nursery rhymes and circle dances), cooks (crepes and pizzas in particular), and painters (Monet and Kandinsky among the inspirations). We then added an afterschool and an adult program, as well as running camps at school breaks. La Petite Provence’s signature program for adults, “French over Dinner”, was featured in the Austin Chronicle. La Petite Provence currently welcomes private students through zoom or in person, and groups of friends who want to study together. We also offer professional translation and diction coaching for musicians singing in French.
